DRINKmaple launched its newest product, DRINKmelon Organic Watermelon Water – now available in stores in the Northeast.

Produced in St. Albans, Vt., DRINKmelon is a single-ingredient, plant-based functional beverage and the only 100 percent organic, shelf-stable watermelon water available in major grocery stores today, company officials say.

“We’ve had a busy summer at DRINKmaple headquarters, hand-producing our newest beverage while simultaneously growing our national footprint,” says Kate Weiler, co-founder and CEO of DRINKmaple. “Since launching the business in 2014, we’ve gained  so much traction around our maple water, and we anticipate the same excitement around watermelon. More and more consumers are not only looking for a delicious product, but one that is pure, organic, and nutritious. These are our standards.”

Similar to DRINKmaple, sister beverage DRINKmelon Organic Watermelon Water is made from one single ingredient straight from a plant source: organic watermelons. The new premium beverage is non-GMO, Kosher, organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan. Harvested at the peak of ripeness, sun-ripened American-grown watermelons are peeled and juiced before undergoing a gentle filtration process in an effort to preserve the water's freshness, taste, and nutritional benefits. Each batch is taste-tested prior to bottling.

DRINKmelon is priced at $2.99 per 12 fluid ounce bottle and is currently available for purchase in Ahold Stores, which includes Stop & Shop, Martin’s Food Markets and Giant Food Stores, ShopRite/Wakefern Supermarkets, and will soon be in Wegmans markets. DRINKmelon’s retail footprint will continue to expand this fall.
