FRANKLIN PARK, Ill. — Jewel-Osco, a Supervalu-owned Midwest chain based here, will put a Physicians Prompt Care Express clinic in its Orland Park store starting mid-August.
The retailer is partnering with Tinley Park-based, board-certified Physicians Prompt Care Centers to give patients convenient, yet affordable health care.
“Access to quality health care is one of the top issues facing our communities today,” Chris Dimos, president, Jewel-Osco pharmacies, said in a press statement. “In integrating the new medical clinic into our store, we aim to eliminate some of the barriers — like cost, work and school schedules, and even proximity — that can block our customers’ ability to receive medical attention.”
Most major insurance plans, including Medicare, will be accepted at the Physicians Prompt Care Express, which will be located in the southwest corner of the store, adjacent to the pharmacy.
Cassie Richardson, communications manager, Supervalu pharmacies, told SN the Physicians Prompt Care Express is going into this specific location because “our physician partner has an outstanding reputation for providing patient care in this community.”
