Mikey’s Muffins has launched low-calorie, multi-purpose frozen English muffins that are gluten-, dairy-, soy- and grain-free. The English muffins are now available nationwide in more than 1,500 stores and online.
Mikey’s Muffins features a shortlist of simple, wholesome ingredients. Mikey’s Muffins are also paleo-certified and kosher parve. Made from just six simple and recognizable ingredients (in the Original variety), each muffin is less than 100 calories and contains only one-net carb, three-grams of dietary fiber and five-grams of protein. The use of premium nut flours—almond and coconut—instead of traditional rice or tapioca flour is what allows the product to remain clean, nutritious and paleo-friendly.
“The gluten free market can be a saturated one, so I wanted to bring something different to consumers,” says Michael Tierney, founder and CEO of Mikey’s Muffins. “While people turn to paleo and allergy-free diets for different reasons, the restrictions can make meals or grab-and-go eating difficult. The versatility of Mikey’s Muffins brings that freedom back by offering a tasty base for your favorite sandwich or brunch dish.”
Tierney created Mikey’s Muffins after struggling to find healthy paleo and gluten-free breads for his daily diet. With a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and experience working in three Michelin starred restaurants including The French Laundry and Eleven Madison Park, Tierney set out to create the ultimate grain-free, clean-eating bread.
Mikey’s Muffins are available in the three varieties: Original, Toasted Onion and Cinnamon Raisin.
