A results-driven, passionate leader who incorporates innovation in all he does, Brian Lorenz takes smart risks to maintain and grow sales in these high-priority departments. Operational excellence is among his chief priorities, as evidenced by the strategic partnerships he has built with Starbucks, Boar’s Head and Hissho, Giant Food Stores’ sushi partner. Lorenz’s passion for service carries over to his philanthropic efforts; he’s championed several efforts across his team to help improve the lives of our customers beyond store walls, including donating school supplies to the West Shore YMCA, volunteering at Carlisle Food Pantry and participating in a Feed the Veterans event, to name a few.
What’s the best part of your job?
Being in a position in which I can directly impact the deli and bakery departments to keep them relevant with today’s trends as well as being able to help my associates grow.
What inspires your leadership approach?
I lead with passion around winning and being solution-oriented. I believe creating a culture of winning is important, and I empower my team with the tools and support necessary to see them win and deliver on their goals.
What do you cherish most about being a part of the grocery business?
I love the fast-paced environment of the grocery business and really being able to impact the overall shopping experience of our customers.
Favorite food: Bone-in ribeye steak.
