What’s the best part of your job?
The opportunity to make a difference in our customers' lives by providing solutions to solve their hunger—which [at times] might only pertain to food. But we also believe it stands for experiences and inspiration which are part of a great meal.
What inspires your leadership approach?
Developing people into their full potential. It doesn’t matter their age or experience, but many people do not believe they are capable of doing more. So I stretch them by giving them responsibilities that push them beyond their comfort zone. I’m rewarded by seeing them gain confidence in their abilities, which ultimately opens up new opportunities as they grow in their career.
What do you cherish most about being a part of the grocery business?
The people I have worked with over my 29 years with The Kroger Co. I have made many friends in the different positions I have held and believe we have some of the best people working for our company.
