What’s the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping foster the growth of our team across multiple business channels, which in turn grows our business and the category on a global scale. Through this process, it in turn helps me develop as a more effective leader for our company.
What inspires your leadership approach?
The short answer would be, the golden rule: Do unto others as you have them do unto you. My belief is when we all work together for a common goal, great things will happen, so I do my best to view things from the perspective of my team while keeping the company’s goals in mind so that I can keep them motivated and pushing in unison. I’m a big believer in communications of all forms and direction, especially the need to listen—even if you may not agree. We should all always listen.
What do you value most about being a part of the grocery business?
Food is a basic human necessity on a global level. Through the grocery business, our industry is able to supply wholesome products to meet this basic human need for nourishment and also able to share our respective company’s values through our message, products and interaction within the industry. We all get to do this in an exciting, ever-changing environment that requires us to constantly evaluate and adapt as needed to the current environment and that of the environment to come. Case in point, our recent pandemic challenge.
Favorite food: Cheese.
