Albertsons LLC Can Extend Services Agreement With Supervalu

Albertsons LLC announced last week that it has reached an agreement with Supervalu, Minneapolis, that allows Albertsons LLC the option to extend the companies’ “Transitional Services Agreement” (TSA) through Dec. 31, 2014.

BOISE, Idaho — Albertsons LLC here announced last week that it has reached an agreement with Supervalu, Minneapolis, that allows Albertsons LLC the option to extend the companies’ “Transitional Services Agreement” (TSA) through Dec. 31, 2014. The TSA was originally signed in June 2006 when the respective companies purchased portions of Albertsons.

Under the TSA, Supervalu provides Albertsons LLC with a series of back-office infrastructure services.

“The Transition Services Agreement between Albertsons LLC and Supervalu provides our company with solid infrastructure for the next six years as we continue to grow our company,” said Bob Miller, chief executive officer of Albertsons LLC, in a statement. “Supervalu has been and will continue to be a strong partner for us.”
