Central Grocers declined to indicate what percentage of total sales are done by corporate stores. The company signed a transition agreement with Certified Grocers Midwest, Hodgkins, Ill., in late May that will enable it — beginning in spring 2009 — to take over an estimated 80% of Certified’s volume, amounting to approximately $450 million on an annualized basis.
