Delhaize Group Promotes Browne, Dickinson
SCARBOROUGH, Maine - Hannaford Bros. here has promoted Garrett D. Browne IV and Emily D. Dickinson to newly created positions at parent company Delhaize Group, Brussels. Browne has been named corporate vice president and operations controller at Delhaize. He is responsible for the development of policy recommendation and implementation plans for financial systems and processes. Browne had been senior vice president of finance and analysis since 2001, a position that has been filled by Gregory Amoroso. Dickinson has been promoted to Delhaize Group corporate vice president of legal for human resources, strategy and technology. She now leads the legal work for Delhaize departments responsible for human resources, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, information technology and global procurement, and is also responsible for technology and best practices within the group's corporate legal department. She also serves as secretary for the Delhaize board's compensation committee. She will continue to serve as senior vice president and general counsel for Hannaford and sister company Kash n' Karry/Sweetbay. Dickinson had been senior vice president of legal affairs and government relations since 2004, and continues to be responsible for her former tasks.
Davidson Named Wild Oats Sr. VP, Merchandising
BOULDER, Colo. - Wild Oats Markets here has named Roger Davidson senior vice president of merchandising and marketing, effective Oct. 30. He succeeds Steve Kaczynski, who left the company in April. Davidson comes to Wild Oats from Supervalu, Minneapolis, where he most recently was senior vice president and chief operating officer for the retail food division. In his new position, Davidson will be responsible for directing the development of merchandise strategy and tactical plans for Wild Oats stores, including the design and sourcing of new products, brand building, sourcing and ensuring beneficial vendor alliances with manufacturers.
