Kroger Names Prestidge President of Delta Division

Snee, Morley Elevated to Sr. VP at Smart & Final

LOS ANGELES - Smart & Final has named Timothy Snee senior vice president of store operations. He succeeds Andre Delolmo, who has left the company to take a position with Groupe Casino, Smart & Final's majority shareholder. Snee previously was senior vice president of buying, and is now responsible for the operation of all U.S. stores under the Smart & Final banner. Norah Morley, previously senior vice president of marketing, has been named senior vice president of marketing and buying, adding Snee's buying responsibilities to her current duties. She now oversees customer relationship marketing, advertising, public relations, field marketing, category management, quality assurance, corporate brands and procurement, and culinary merchandising.

SALISBURY, N.C. - Linn Evans has been named vice president of legal affairs for corporate, securities and compliance by Delhaize Group, the Brussels-based parent company of Food Lion here. In this newly created position, Evans leads Delhaize Group corporate legal work in corporate governance, corporate compliance and general corporate representation for treasury, controller, internal audit, tax, investor relations and corporate communications. In addition to his Delhaize Group responsibilities, Evans now holds the title of senior vice president and general counsel of Food Lion, where he continues to hold his former responsibilities as vice president of legal affairs. Evans joined Food Lion in 1998. He reports to Michael Waller, executive vice president, general counsel and secretary of Delhaize Group-Delhaize America, and Rick Anicetti, president and chief executive officer of Food Lion.

Kings Names Three Executives to New Positions

PARSIPPANY, N.J. - Kings Super Markets last week unveiled some changes in the executive team. Vince Colatriano has joined Kings as vice president of grocery, dairy and frozen foods, a new position. He reports to Fred Brohm, executive vice president of sales and merchandising. Colatriano comes to Kings after 25 years at Pathmark, where his most recent position was director of sales and merchandising. Also, Richard Durante has been promoted to senior vice president, store operations. Durante joined Kings in 1988, and most recently was vice president of operations. Finally, Patrick Dentato has been promoted to senior vice president and chief financial officer. Dentato joined Kings in 1999, and most recently was chief financial officer and corporate secretary. Durante and Dentato report to Bruce Weitz, chief executive officer, owner and operating partner.

P&G's Angelus to be President OF Women's Group

CHICAGO - The Network of Executive Women here named Helayne Angelus president at the group's Annual Leadership Summit last month in Dallas. Angelus is vice president, global customer business development diversity, for Procter & Gamble, Cincinnati. Angelus succeeds Kimberly Betts, a manager in human capital for Deloitte & Touche, New York, who remains a NEW officer as immediate past president. Angelus has served on NEW's board for five years.
