LANDOVER, Md. — Giant Food joined many of the major food chains in offering low-priced generic drugs with the introduction of $9.99 for a 90-day supply on some 350 drugs last week, according to Giant’s Web site and media reports. In doing so, Giant hopes to drive traffic to its 165 stores with pharmacies in the Washington region.
