Union workers at 60 Kroger stores in and around Indianapolis voted to ratify a new four-year contract, Kroger said yesterday.

CINCINNATI — Union workers at 60 Kroger stores in and around Indianapolis voted to ratify a new four-year contract, Kroger here said yesterday. The contract expands preventive care to include dental coverage, protects pensions, improves prescription coverage, and provides pay increases and bonuses, according to Local 700 of the United Food and Commercial Workers union, which represents the 4,200 Kroger workers. The contract also merges separate deals between clerks and meat department employees, the union said.
