Kroger Co. is planning to open a 123,000-square-foot Marketplace store in October, in Richmond, Texas, according to reports.

RICHMOND, Texas — Kroger Co. is planning to open a 123,000-square-foot Marketplace store here in October, according to reports. It would be the Cincinnati-based chain's first location using the Marketplace format in Texas, and its largest store in the state.

In addition to a traditional grocery offering, the store would include a Fred Meyer Jeweler outlet and a selection of home furnishings, the reports said.
