CINCINNATI -- Kroger here will use technology from Market6, Walnut Creek, Calif., to more accurately anticipate customer demand for ordering specific items in its stores, Market6 announced yesterday. The Market6 forecast engine, called DemandChain Information Factory Forecast Engine, will be used as part of Kroger‘s automated store replenishment system. “The Market6 Forecast Engine enables Kroger to improve inventory levels in order to continually satisfy our customers by providing what they want, when they want it,” said Christopher Hjelm, Kroger‘s senior vice president and chief information officer, in a statement.
