EAST BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Kroger expects to open the largest King Soopers here next week — a Marketplace store of 100,000 square feet, which is approximately one-third larger than most of its stores.

According to local reports, the store will include a natural and organics “store within a store”; a drive-up pharmacy; separate sushi, soup and cheese bars; a covered dining area; and an expanded assortment of kitchen accessories.

The store will also reportedly feature “green” elements in its design, including skylights to reduce interior lighting, ergonomically friendly shelving and floor materials that require less energy-intensive cleanings and cleansers.
