LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix Super Markets announced yesterday that it has launched an event planning website, www.publix.com/entertaining. The website offers suggestions for planning a variety of events, “from a small intimate gathering to a grand wedding,” Publix said in a statement. “Just in time for the holidays, customers can find ways to save time on planning parties and family gatherings,” said Media and Community Relations Manager Dwaine Stevens. “Putting party planning at their fingertips on the Web makes it easy for customers to plan at their leisure.” Four main sections are offered: party basics, a step-by-step guide on planning a party; plan an event & menu, which offers party themes and suggested menus, decorations and related activities; plan a menu, which displays all products by serving course; and Apron’s event planning, an in-store service available at select Publix stores.
