Supervalu’s Boehnen to Step Down

Supervalu said Thursday that David Boehnen would no longer be an officer of the company effective Dec. 15 but that he would continue as an advisor to Craig Herkert, the company’s chief executive officer, for one year.

MINNEAPOLIS — Supervalu here said Thursday that David Boehnen would no longer be an officer of the company effective Dec. 15 but that he would continue as an advisor to Craig Herkert, the company’s chief executive officer, for one year.

Boehnen is a 20-year veteran of Supervalu, serving most recently as senior vice president with responsibility for overseeing the retailer’s legal, real estate and corporate development functions.

With Boehnen’s new role, Todd Sheldon, group vice president, legal, will be promoted to senior vice president and general counsel, reporting to Andy Herring, executive vice president of real estate, market development and legal.
