SUNBURY, Pa. — Weis Markets here said it has completed the remodel of five of its stores in Broome County, N.Y., and has reopened former Scot’s Lo Cost stores in Montoursville, Pa., and Coal Township, Pa., under the Weis Markets banner.

Weis rolled out the Scot’s banner in the early 1990s as a warehouse format but has been converting them to the Weis banner. Company officials said the change would allow Scot’s shoppers to participate in Weis’s frequent shopper and gas reward programs.

The Broome County stores are former Giant Markets units acquired by Weis in 2009.
