JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Several Winn-Dixie customers were double-charged by the retailer when using credit and debit cards last Wednesday, according to reports.
The problem was companywide, the reports said.
"We have every single team, and I can tell you this, from front-end to finance to customer service — everybody — working on this," Robin Miller, director of communications, Winn-Dixie, was quoted as saying in the Anniston Star in Alabama.
The company's investigation was slowed by the fact that banks were closed for Thanksgiving, the reports said.
