JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Winn-Dixie here is catering to the needs of all kinds of holiday celebrants with foods and general merchandise geared toward Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa.
“For the first time, all Winn-Dixie stores are stocked with top Hanukkah items like Hanukkah candles for the menorah, and kosher items such as potato pancake mix and chocolate coins,” said spokeswoman Robin Miller, in a statement.
The chain is discounting items like packs of Hanukkah candles for 79 cents and chocolate coins, four for $1. It’s also offering a buy-one, get-one-free offer on potato pancake mix. The retailer will cater to shoppers’ Christmas needs with eggnog, candy canes and baking materials, and Kwanzaa with items like bananas, mangoes, plantains, oranges, wine and corn, it said.
This year Hanukkah will be celebrated Dec. 21-29, Christmas Dec. 25 and Kwanzaa Dec. 26 to Jan. 1.
