AMERICUS, Ga. — Winn-Dixie yesterday reopened a store here that was destroyed by a tornado last year, implementing the chain's new design elements and product offerings. "It’s great to have Winn-Dixie return to Americus after 15 months,” said Peter Lynch, chairman, president and chief executive officer, Winn-Dixie Stores, Jacksonville, Fla. “This is a homecoming for approximately 20 Winn-Dixie associates, who have been working at other Winn-Dixies while this store was rebuilt.”
