MONTREAL — Loblaw Co.’s Provigo Le Marché banner, debuting here in July, will feature new fresh concepts and more Quebec-made products.

The stores will offer in-store aged beef, on-site baked bagels, a juice bar and a cheese wall.

"Combining the attributes of a public market when it comes to shopping experience and freshness with the convenience, personalized service and variety of a traditional supermarket, the new Provigo Le Marché stores will provide a unique experience in Québec that will meet the taste and expectations of consumers who are passionate about great food," Pierre Dandoy, senior vice president, operations, Provigo and Loblaws Québec, said in a statement.

The initial launch of Provigo Le Marché includes a new construction in Sherbrooke and the conversion of six existing Loblaws stores. The first location under the new banner will debut in mid-July with the remaining stores to open by the end of 2013.
