Aldi opens stores in Ohio and Florida
German grocery continues to launch locations across the U.S.
Discount grocery chain Aldi continued its rapid expansion earlier this month with new locations in Orlando, Fla., and Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
The Middleburg Heights store, located at 6820 Pearl Road, is a new store, and the Orlando store, located at 4607 South Orange Blossom Trail, is a renovated store. Both locations opened on Aug. 15.
The chain operates 2,393 U.S. locations as of July 23, according to Scrapehero.com.
“We have invested in remodeling our stores to ensure they are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Matt Thon, Haines City regional vice president for Aldi.
The German grocer celebrated the store openings by handing out gift bags and gift cards, and offering shoppers the chance to enter a sweepstakes to win a $500 Aldi gift card.
Aldi has been opening new locations rapidly over the last few years, announcing in March that it plans to open 800 new grocery stores by the end of 2028.
