Joe V’s Smart Shop is set to open in Dallas on June 12, according to a story in the Dallas Observer

H-E-B announced last year that it planned to open two locations of its discount grocery chain to the Dallas area.

The new location, H-E-B’s first outside of metro Houston, will be located at 4101 W. Wheatland Road, the grocer said.

In March, the grocer broke ground on a second Joe V’s location planned for 5204 S. Buckner Blvd. in Dallas. That location is set to open in the spring of 2025, H-E-B said.

“Joe V’s Smart Shop launched in 2010 and currently employs more than 2,000 partners across 10 stores in the Houston area,” the company said in March.

The 50,000-square-foot location takes the place of an Albertsons grocery store that closed in 2004, according to the Observer.
