The Cramer Family, who have been in the local grocery business for more than 30 years, have acquired the Lawrenceville SHOP ‘n SAVE and unveil the remodeled grocery store. In order to elevate the shopper experience, the renovated SHOP ‘n SAVE in Lawrenceville will offer residents an expanded sales floor, allowing additional products and services that are in high demand of their customers, including an expanded fresh produce department. The aisles were also widened to provide convenience and an enhanced store layout. “When evaluating the space, we decided right away that the existing layout needed updated. When the space next door opened up, it presented a great opportunity,” says Matt Cramer, owner. “I knew we needed to make aesthetic updates and expand the sales floor to add variety and an open layout our customers would appreciate. I am very excited to be part of the revitalization of the Lawrenceville community.” With the increasingly competitive grocery industry, Matt Cramer knew as an independent retailer he needed to reinvest in order to stay competitive. The store has expanded to more than 40,000 square feet of sales floor and now has wide spacious aisles for shopping ease. In addition to the expanded fresh produce department, the remodeled store expanded meat, floral, full-service deli and bakery departments. The grocer is also introducing a Dollar Aisle and Wild Harvest Natural and Organic products, that are free-from more than 100 undesirable ingredients. Cramer spent 20 years at SuperValu in various positions with the last 10 as the Central Region Retail Technology Manager before he decided to own a store of his own. Similarly, his wife Darlene Cramer has also been in the grocery business for over 30 years. Both Matt and Darlene are both engrained into the local community and dedicated to their employees and customers. The remodeled store offers double coupons up to 99 cents, weekly specials and everyday savings throughout the store. When customers sign up for a SHOP ‘n SAVE Perks Card, they receive special discounts, along with “Pump Perks” to save on fuel purchases at over 130 participating SUNOCO gas stations. On February 12, the Lawrencville SHOP ‘n SAVE will officially celebrate the remodel and new ownership with grand opening specials including: specific sale items in the circular, random SHOP ‘n SAVE gift card giveaways in-store and the grand prize surprise – Penguins Hockey tickets to two lucky customers. The store is located at 450 56th St. Pittsburgh, Pa 15201 and will be open Sunday through Saturday 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. everyday.
