KEASBEY, N.J. — Construction is set to begin next week on a new ShopRite supermarket planned for a summer opening in Lawnside, N.J., Wakefern Food Corp. here said Friday.
The 56,000-square-foot ShopRite of Lawnside will be operated by Somerset Stores, owned by David and Renee Zallie.

Lawnside, in Camden County, in 1926 became the first independent self-governing African American community north of the Mason-Dixon line.
In addition to a broad array of groceries and fresh produce, the service meat, seafood and bakery departments as well as prepared hot foods and a Mediterranean olive bar. The meat department will bring to market its own brand of smoked meats which will be made in the store’s own smokehouse.

The ShopRite of Lawnside will have a pharmacy, an in-store café with free WiFi, and a catering department. The store will also feature a broad selection of natural and organic products and an on-site registered dietitian. The store will also offer ShopRite form Home service allowing customers to shop using their home computer or mobile device for delivery or store pickup.
