WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. — Tops Friendly Markets here on Tuesday opened its first new store in its home Buffalo market in eight years. The store, in Cheektowaga, N.Y., is located at the site of a former Jubilee Foods store.

Renovation of the site, which cost $3 million, began in October. The 27,000-square-foot store includes full-service deli, bakery, floral, meat and seafood departments, as well as natural and organic selections and a Tops’ Carry Out Café of prepared foods.

Tops operates 133 full-service supermarkets including 128 company-owned stores and five franchised locations.
