Blue Apron to be acquired by food delivery firm Wonder Group for $103M

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year

Meal-kit company Blue Apron will be acquired by food delivery company Wonder Group in an all-stock deal for $103 million, Blue Apron said Friday.

Under the terms of the merger agreement, Blue Apron stockholders will receive $13 per share, representing a 137% premium to the stock’s closing price of $5.49.

The deal, which is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2023, was unanimously approved by Blue Apron’s board of directors, the company said.

Blue Apron, the first U.S. meal-kit company to go public, had an IPO in June 2017, which valued the company at $1.89 billion.
