Natural Grocers launches line of own brand organic soups

All six varieties are certified organic, non-GMO and made with entirely plant-based, gluten- and dairy-free ingredients

Natural Grocers has announced a new line of private label organic soups. The six varieties are certified organic, non-GMO and are gluten and dairy free.

Each is packaged in BPA-free 14 oz. pouches designed with resource efficiency in mind, the grocer said in a press release. Flavors include butternut squash, creamy tomato, sauerkraut, sweet corn, three lentil, and vegan chili bean. They are available nationally for $4.49 per pouch.

Natural Grocers first launched its private label brand in 2016 and currently offers some 800 products within that line. Recent additions to the private-label line include three new gourmet flavors of frozen Organic Wood Fired Pizza and two new seasonal flavors of Organic Coffee. The grocer said it also soon plans to launch two new own-brand products, organic wheat pasta and organic pasta sauce (both made with biodynamic ingredients).

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage is a specialty retailer of natural and organic groceries, body care products, and dietary supplements. The Lakewood, Colo.-based retailer has 169 stores in 21 states.
