Schnuck Markets recalled three private label cheese spreads Saturday due to possible salmonella contamination.

“Schnucks was notified by our vendor (Topco Associates) that the product was being recalled by Schreiber Foods because they received a recall notification from their supplier of an ingredient, whey protein concentrate, for having the potential to be contaminated with salmonella,” a Schnucks spokesperson said in an email response to questions.

No illnesses have been reported, Schnucks said.

The products were pulled from the shelves at 107 of 115 locations.

The three items are:

  • Schnucks Whip Cream Spread - UPC 4131858005; Best By 8/8/2024

  • Schnucks Strawberry Spread - UPC 4131858007; Best By 9/8/2024

  • Schnucks Cream Cheese Spread - UPC 4131858023; Best By 10/8/2024
