Southeastern Grocers is introducing private label, sugar-sweetened Chek Real Sugar soda, a throwback to the original recipe that debuted 50 years ago.

Cola, grape, orange and strawberry flavors of the soda, packaged in a retro can, are available at Bi-Lo, Harveys and Winn-Dixie stores.

The soda comes in response to a survey that found that one-third of Southeastern Grocers shoppers were most looking to limit the consumption of additives and preferred soft drinks made with 100% real sugar.
