WAFC Names 4 New Directors

LOS ANGELES — The Western Association of Food Chains here said it has expanded its board to 34 members and elected four new directors.

LOS ANGELES — The Western Association of Food Chains here said it has expanded its board to 34 members and elected four new directors.

They are: Steve Frisby, president of the Northwest division of Safeway, Pleasanton, Calif; Lori Raya, president of the El Monte, Calif.-based Vons division of Safeway; Greg Sandeno, president and chief executive officer of C&K Market, Brookings, Ore.; and Mimi Song, president and CEO of Superior Grocers, Los Angeles.

There is one vacancy on the WAFC board following the resignation of Darl Andersen, president and CEO of Bashas', Chandler, Ariz., who left the board when he was named special adviser to the president and chairman of Bashas'.
