Trader Joe’s announces another product recall
This time it involves the retailer’s Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings
Trader Joe’s has another recall on its hands, this time involving its Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings, the retailer announced on Saturday.
Products with a best buy date of March 7, 2025, and lot code C1-1 and C1-2 have been recalled due to the potential presence of plastic material.
The retailer said no illnesses or injuries have been reported, but is calling on shoppers to either discard the product or return it at any Trader Joe’s for a full refund.
In February, Trader Joe’s recalled its Chicken, Lentil, & Caramelized Onion Pilaf just a couple of weeks after the frozen food made its debut due to “foreign material.”
During the second half of 2023 the retailer made a total of six product recalls. The first of the recalls also involved cookies when rocks were discovered. Rocks were also found in Trader Joe’s brand of falafel, and bugs were found in the retailer’s broccoli cheddar soup.
Multigrain crackers were pulled from the shelves last year when it was discovered some of the packages contained metal.
In at least three of the cases, Trader Joe’s blamed the manufacturing process at the facilities where the products were being made.
Trader Joe’s had not responded to a request for comment in time for publication of this story.
