Through a partnership with Pillsbury, which was more than a year in the making, local bakeries around the country bake the rolls daily for delivery to 7-Eleven stores.

Customers can also buy an unheated roll in a special microwave-safe box to take home and eat later.

“We expect the Pillsbury cinnamon roll will be a hot-seller in the mornings when people are stopping by to grab a cup of coffee on their way to work or school,” Kelly Buckley, 7-Eleven vice president of fresh food innovation, said in a statement. “However, experience tells us that lots of our customers come into our stores in the afternoons and even late at night looking for a sweet and satisfying treat.”

7-Eleven will offer coupons for a free Pillsbury cinnamon roll and other specials on its app starting Sept. 10. The suggested retail price for the cinnamon roll is $1.69.
