Dierbergs sweetens bakery with local cupcakes

Dierbergs will be the exclusive retail seller of cupcakes from St. Louis bakery Jilly’s Cupcake Bar & Café, the retailer announced.

The retailer will carry six flavors: Bee Sting (vanilla cake with lemon cream cheese frosting), Chocolate Thunder, Missy-licious (vanilla cake with seasonal colored vanilla buttercream), Reese’s Chunkage, Turtle Cheesecake and Twisted Pink Velvet.

The cupcakes are flash-frozen in stores.

Initially, four stores in Des Peres, St. Louis, Chesterfield and Osage Beach will offer the cupcakes.

Dierbergs also sells its own house-made cupcakes.
