PITTSBURGH — Giant Eagle has automated its loyalty-based beverage club.

For every five fountain, frozen or coffee beverages purchased with Giant Eagle’s Advantage store card, the sixth is automatically free. Drinks can be purchased from Giant Eagle banners, including GetGo gas stations.

While Giant Eagle previously had a beverage club, participants were required to carry cards that were punched after each purchase. After five punches, they received a free drink. Now, all purchases are tracked on loyalty cards. “

We’re Pulling the Punches (Beverage Club Punch Cards, that is),” Giant Eagle states in promotional materials.”

Through June 30, club participants get one free coffee or fountain beverage by turning in their beverage punch cards, regardless of how many punches they have.

“We now track our Beverage Club program on your Giant Eagle Advantage Card,” according to Giant Eagle.
