SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — Big Y is promoting its “BigY2Go” shop-from-home service with discounted delivery fees.

All orders under $100 cost $4.99, while all orders over $100 are free. The discount is valid through Sept. 9.

BigY2Go allows shoppers to place their orders online via a link on the bigy.com website. The link brings users to a website owned by MyWebGrocer. A store associate picks the items. Customers can then drive up to the store, where store associates deliver the groceries to their car.

Big Y first launched the service in late 2007 in its Cooley Street, Springfield, Mass., store, charging a $10 fee on all orders. The service has since been expanded to Big Y’s Greenfield and Walpole, Mass., locations.

Big Y declined to comment.
