Now in its seventh year as a proud sponsor of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement, Campbell Soup Company is partnering with Chef Antonia Lofaso to help women continue the fight against this devastating disease. Chef Lofaso, a fan favorite on Bravo’s “Top Chef All-Stars,” is leading the charge by kicking off Campbell’s Address Your Heart Kitchen Project with creative ideas for heart-healthy eating and cooking. Together, Campbell and Chef Lofaso are asking people to share how they care for their heart for a chance to win a $50,000 kitchen makeover. logo in a gray background | During the month of February, people can visit www.addressyourheart.com for tips from Chef Lofaso, as well as downloadable coupons for Campbell’sheart-healthy products, including Campbell’s Healthy Requestsoups (Condensed, Chunky and 100% Natural), PregoHeart Smart Italian sauces, Swanson chicken, V8100% low sodium vegetable juices and V8 V-Fusion 100% vegetable and fruit juices. People can participate in Campbell’s Address Your Heart Kitchen Project by sharing their stories about how they care for their hearts with others in the Address Your Heart online community for a chance to win a $50,000 kitchen makeover, along with a year’s supply of Campbell’s heart-healthy products. Chef Lofaso is personally committed to the fight against heart disease as her mother was recently diagnosed with early signs of heart disease, and they have been working together to make small changes in the kitchen. Chef Lofaso hopes that through this campaign she will inspire others by translating her skills as a professional chef into simple healthy kitchen habits. “As a chef, I was trained to focus on flavor first, so I suggest flavor swaps or easy substitutions that can make a dish not only heart-healthy but also delicious,” says Chef Lofaso, author of “The Busy Mom’s Cookbook” (Penguin Group, 2012). “The pantry is filled with heart-healthy surprises that add dimension and layers of flavor – with low salt, fat and sugar. Good solid flavor boosters include nuts or homemade whole grain croutons, dried herbs, spices and fruits and soup as ready-made marinades.” Currently in its seventh year, Campbell’s Address Your Heart campaign has pledged to contribute $5.4 million to the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement through 2015. “Through our ongoing commitment to the American Heart Association and our line-up of heart-healthy products, we have made great strides in raising awareness of heart disease among women and providing delicious, heart-healthy products for those who want to improve their heart health,” says Leah Dunmore, vice president, U.S. Soup, Campbell Soup Company. “As part of this year’s Address Your Heart Kitchen Project, we’re taking our commitment a step further by inspiring others to care for their hearts through healthier eating and cooking.”
