Consumers can be their own Cake Boss

Fans of the Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro, can bake like the boss himself. The celebrity baker has debuted a line of cake mixes and frostings for retail. The line is created in partnership with Dawn Foods to offer the taste and quality of Carlo's bakery.

"Not everyone has the time to whip up a Cake Boss approved dessert from scratch," says Valastro. "I want to arm home bakers and baking novices alike with the supplies to produce a mouthwatering cake, and my new mixes and frostings provide the bakery quality taste."

Packaged with a pouch of bakery creme, the mixes come in six varieties: Va Va Velvet (red velvet); It's Your Party (confetti cake); Decadent Devil's Food; Chocolate Trifecta (triple chocolate cake made with chocolate liquor); Primo Yellow; and Divine White.

The frostings are made with zero trans-fats and high-quality ingredients in four varieties: Whole Lotta Chocolate (made with two kinds of chocolate and chocolate liquor); Viva Vanilla; Mega Milk Chocolate (milk chocolate flavor with chocolate liquor); and Creme de la Cream Cheese.
