Dorothy Lane Pre-fills Food Bags for the Needy
As part of its Good Neighbor Program, Dorothy Lane Market is selling Good Neighbor Sacks pre-filled with food for the needy.

DAYTON, Ohio — As part of its Good Neighbor Program, Dorothy Lane Market is selling Good Neighbor Sacks pre-filled with food for the needy. Selling for $16.43, the sacks contain a variety of packaged foods requested by local food banks. The assortment includes Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, Del Monte peaches, Starkist tuna and Kraft macaroni and cheese. “We have done the shopping for you and assembled the Good Neighbor Sacks, ready for purchase and donation,” Dorothy Lane stated. “A cashier will ring up your donation, then you may place the sack in our food bank collection bin in the front of the store.” Through the Good Neighbor Program, Dorothy Lane donates about $75,000 each year to various community charities and non-profit organizations. More than 300 local organizations have signed up to be part of the program.
