Food City Names Poole VP Center Store

ABINGDON, Va. — Scott Poole has been named to fill the new position of vice president of Center Store at Food City.

ABINGDON, Va. — Scott Poole has been named to fill the new position of vice president of Center Store at Food City.

He will oversee Center Store operations, supervise the category management staff, space management team, grocery supervisors and coordinate with consumer packaged goods partners.

“Scott has worked in the grocery industry for a number of years, specializing in procurement, merchandising and strategic planning for both perishables and dry grocery,” said Steven C. Smith, Food City president and chief executive officer in a prepared statement.

“I am confident that he will prove to be a valuable asset to our company and that his service in this key position will enable us to continue to advance and improve upon our Center Store operations.”

Prior to joining Food City, Poole served in a number of retail capacities, including frozen food buyer, vice president of frozen food & dairy and vice president of format implementation.
