The Hershey Company has introduced Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup; a sweet and simple take on the Hershey’s classic, now made with five simple ingredients. The Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup has no high-fructose corn syrup or artificial preservatives and flavors, and is made from non-GMO ingredients.

“People are looking for products that taste great and have ingredients that they recognize, know and trust,” says Kriston Ohm, senior brand manager for Hershey’s Syrups and Toppings. “Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup is another way to share the sweetness and the memories that our iconic syrup evokes, with five simple ingredients and nothing else.”

The chocolate taste of Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup comes from cocoa, water and natural flavor from real vanilla beans. Pure cane sugar and organic invert cane syrup, derived from sugar cane, give the syrup its signature sweetness and body.

The launch of Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup reflects The Hershey Company’s continued commitment to simple ingredients. Since announcing the commitment in 2015, Hershey has transitioned more than 500 product SKUs including the iconic Hershey’s Kisses Milk Chocolates and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars. By scanning the SmartLabel, a QR code which appears on the bottle below the nutrition facts, people will also be able to instantly get detailed product information about Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup, from ingredient and nutrition facts to allergens.

Inspired by the sweet and simple ingredients in Hershey’s Simply 5 Syrup, the brand is encouraging people to share what they are grateful for on social media. “In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, making time for traditions can seem daunting,” adds Ohm. “We want to show people that it doesn’t have to be complicated, so we’re asking them to share a five word recount of what made their day sweet with #Simply5. It’s all about celebrating the sweetness in everyday moments.”
