Hy-Vee Fills Freezers for Free

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — Hy-Vee shoppers who buy a 5-cubic-foot Haier chest freezer for $199 will get a coupon booklet filled with more than $200 in free food.

More than 50 free frozen and grocery products are featured in the annual promotion.

“The savings pay for the freezer,”
 Hy-Vee states in promotional materials.

Among the free items: Tombstone, Red Baron and Digiorno pizzas; Crisco Olive Oil; Ziploc Storage/Freezer Bags; Birds Eye Blended Vegetables and Snickers Ice Cream Bars.

Coupons are also offered on a variety of Hy-Vee private labels, including Hy-Vee ice cream, frozen apple juice and cheese sticks.
