SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — In celebration of American Heart Month, Price Chopper is sampling heart-friendly foods throughout February. Selections include Aristo wellness bars, Smart Balance cream cheese, Polaner sugarless All-Fruit and DanActive yogurt with omega. Additionally, in-store displays contain heart-healthy recipes and resources. Among them is Price Chopper’s “Healthy Heart” brochure. “Heathy U” heart symbols are being used in weekly circulars and on store shelves to help consumers find items that meet standards for lean, low-fat or lower-sodium foods and beverages. “February is American Heart Month and Price Chopper wants to partner with you in locating, selecting, and preparing great tasting foods that support heart health,” Price Chopper's senior nutritionist Ellie Wilson writes on the company website.
