Roundy’s Launches New ‘Chairman Bob’ Campaign

MILWAUKEE — Robert Mariano, chairman and chief executive officer of Roundy’s Supermarkets here, is reprising his role as the iconic “Chairman Bob” in a new series of television advertisements for Roundy’s Pick n’ Save, Copps and Rainbow stores.

The new ads show Bob as an exacting judge of products and ingredients for Roundy’s private-label goods, trailed by a trio of fawning assistants known as the “Bobtourage.”

The ads from Minneapolis-based agency Preston Kelly, broke this month during American Idol telecasts. They follow up the initial campaign launched last year.
