QUINCY, Mass. — Anaise Seabury, 11, of Westfield, Mass., won Stop & Shop’s Kitch’N Kids recipe contest. She received a $10,000 savings bond for her recipe, “Nasie’s Cabbage, Potato & Gouda Soup.” The contest encouraged children ages 7-14 to create a nutritious snack or meal recipe using milk, cheese or yogurt. Sponsored by Stop & Shop, 3-A-Day of Dairy, Dannon and Cabot, all qualifying recipes incorporated a product by Cabot and Dannon or any store-brand milk, cheese or yogurt. Recipes were judged by a panel that included a Boston University executive chef, a registered dietitian from the New England Dairy Promotion Board and Andrea Astrachan, Stop & Shop’s consumer affairs director. Stop & Shop presented the contest to help promote the health benefits of dairy products in an everyday diet; 800 kids entered the contest.
