LUBBOCK, Texas — Players may not be able to buy Park Place, but they are eligible to win a $250,000 home, a 2008 Ford truck and other big prizes. It's all part of United Supermarkets' Monopoly game promotion. Participants receive a free game ticket and game board each time they make a purchase at a United store, including the Market Street and Super Mercado banners. They receive bonus tickets with the purchase of one of hundreds of specially tagged items, including Powerade, Lays Potato Chips and Kellogg's cereal. Players win prizes based on whether their game tickets match prizes on the game board.
