TWIN FALLS, Idaho — Chobani Inc. is voluntarily recalling 91 UPCs of Greek yogurt products due to reports of consumer illness, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced on Thursday.
FDA did not specify what type of illness the consumers reported. The FDA also noted reports of the product packaging “bloating and swelling.”

A message on Chobani's website said the manufacturer detected some mold in yogurts made in an Idaho facility.
The yogurts have best-by dates of Sept. 11-13 to Oct. 7-13, with an IMS number of 16-012. The complete recall list is available on FDA’s website.
Chobani requests that customer who purchased the product throw it away, and contact the company at chobani.com/care for a refund.
According to a report by the Chicago Tribune, Chobani initially avoided a formal recall by asking retailers to remove the product from shelves. Consumers on Chobani’s Facebook page complained of mold and “fizzy” tasting yogurt, and a few noted stomach aches.
Chobani has been aggressive in addressing consumer complaints on Facebook with personalized messages.
The recall comes after Chobani expanded its Greek yogurt offerings with new flavors earlier this summer.
