He spent four years as president and chief operating officer of St. Louis-based supermarket operator Schnuck Markets Inc. and two decades at St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch, including three years as the company’s president.

Baldwin currently is chairman of the board of directors of BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc.; an executive committee member at the National Retail Federation and a managing partner of CVC (U.S.) Advisors Inc. He was previously chairman and CEO of BJ’s and CEO of Hess Retail Corp., and has held executive positions at Procter & Gamble, Mondelēz and Hershey.

In a letter to Advantage employees, Peacock said, “When I worked in grocery retail, I was a customer of Advantage and, from my days in the beer industry, I understand the challenges that come with building brands. I understand the importance of a service-first culture where clients and customers are prioritized regardless of status, position, or anything else we use to ‘classify’ people.”

Peacock added that he learned first-hand during the pandemic “just how unimportant I was as president of a grocery chain, but how critical our baggers, checkers, stockers, and clerks were to our customers. It was this experience that codified my belief that a good leader supports the team that actually makes things happen for clients and customers.”
