Buehler’s taps Mike Davidson to lead sales, marketing
Retail grocery veteran shifts from store operations role

Mike Davidson has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing at Ohio grocer Buehler’s Fresh Foods.
Davidson previously served as executive vice president of store operations. In his new role, he will oversee all sales and merchandising departments, marketing and customer insights, as well as the central kitchen and warehouse, Wooster, Ohio-based Buehler’s said.
In addition, Davidson (left) will continue to report to Buehler’s President and CEO Dan Shanahan and serve as an officer of parent company Styx Holding Corp.
“Mike has had significant impact on our store operations, and we expect in his new job that he will similarly move the needle in the development and execution of our sales, merchandising and marketing strategies,” Shanahan said in a statement.
Davidson joined Buehler’s in May 2016 as vice president of operations and was elevated to executive vice president of store operations in November 2017. He came to the company from Price Chopper Supermarkets, where he spent more than six years in VP roles, including as regional vice president and senior vice president of operations. Before that, he served as vice president of operations at Marsh Supermarkets and spent eight years at Tops Markets, most recently as vice president of operations and merchandising.
Buehler’s operates 13 supermarkets in northeastern Ohio, including stores in Wooster (two), Medina (two), Orrville, Wadsworth, Ashland, New Philadelphia, Dover, Canton, Coshocton, Portage Lakes and Massillon.
